An IELTS qualification is required by most British, Australian, Canadian, Maltese and South African universities, and in some cases, American academic institutions. IELTS is often required by professional bodies and is even needed for immigration to Canada and Australia.

Our IELTS preparation course is suitable for:

  Requirement for this course:
  B1 level and higher.
  
  If you would like to improve your English level before sitting for your IELTS test, you can take a General English-Intensive Course or a Semi-Intensive Evening Course before beginning the IELTS-course. This is recommended if you feel your grammar and communication levels are below the IELTS level you wish to achieve, as this course focuses on the specific requirements of the test.
  
  In our course you will focus on training effective exam techniques :
  
  In this course you will be monitored by your teacher, given feedback while also being assessed on your performance through a number of assignments. You will use authentic test materials to prepare you fully for your test. You will participate in regular sample tests. You will be taught methods and strategies for successfully completing all sections of the test including integrated and independent writing skills, speaking skills needed to talk confidently on a number of topics in order to take a one-to-one interview, reading skills such as scanning, reading for general meaning and details, etc.

  About the exam:

IELTS ist gedacht für StudentInnen, die an einer Universität in Großbritannien, Australien, Kanada, Neuseeland oder in den USA studieren wollen.

Wie unterschiedet sich IELTS von anderen Sprachprüfungen? IELTS-Test ist keine Prüfung im herkömmlichen Sinne, sondern er ist vielmehr eine Analyse vorhandener Sprachkenntnisse. Die Einstufung der Ergebnisse erfolgt in neun Niveaus, von Niveau 1 = Non-user (Lerner, der die Sprache noch nicht aktiv beherrscht) bis Niveau 9 = Expert-user (Lerner, der die Sprache auf dem höchstmöglichen Niveau verwendet). Welche Note Sie bei diesem Test erreichen müssen, ist je nach Universität unterschiedlich (die meisten Universitäten verlangen Niveau 6,5) Es liegt in Ihrer Verantwortung, sich direkt an der Universität, an der Sie studieren wollen, über das verlangte Niveau zu informieren.
